Company

An airline built for the way Africa actually travels

Salone International Airlines was founded to fix a simple problem. Getting from Freetown to another African city too often means a long detour and a night in a third country.

Who we are

A Sierra Leonean carrier with a regional job to do

We are a passenger and cargo airline registered in Sierra Leone, with Freetown International Airport as our principal hub. Our first aircraft are narrow body jets sized for African regional demand, matched with a small charter fleet for missions that do not fit a timetable.

The airline is staffed and led largely by Sierra Leoneans, supported by experienced aviation specialists from across the continent. Everything we build, from the maintenance base to the call centre, is meant to stay in the country and grow here.

Mission

Safe, reliable, comfortable

Move passengers and freight between Sierra Leone and the rest of Africa with the safety standards, punctuality and comfort travellers expect anywhere else in the world.

Vision

Freetown as a gateway

Make Freetown a working connection point for African trade and travel, and a starting point for visitors who came for the beaches and stayed for the business.

Values

Fly in Peace

Calm operations, plain answers and staff who are trusted to solve a passenger problem on the spot rather than pass it along.

The hub

Freetown International Airport

A new terminal, a runway that takes narrow body jets comfortably and a coastline that most travellers see before they land. We are building our maintenance line, crew base and cargo handling on the same site so aircraft turn around without leaving the country.
